Hey guys. I just got my tonneau in today from a forum member. I installed it but had a couple of questions. Per the title, it’s the MOPAR Soft Rolling cover.

1). I had the truck bed Line Xd prior, and the threaded holes weren’t clear. I tried working a bolt in and out to loosen it up, as well as cleaning it out with a flathead. By the end I was using pliers to grip the bolt head and rotate it. No torque wrench, but it’s pretty snug. Thoughts?

2). How does the front seal seat? Is the seal supposed to lay a small flap over the front of the bed facing the back window, or is it meant to be tucked and have that flap towards the back of the truck?

You need to use a tap or thread chaser to clean the holes. Not a bolt!

I noticed mine doesn't seal as well up front since the bed liner was sprayed

Yeah, I didn’t have anything else to do it, but it worked. Ha ha. Why do you not use a bolt?

There are no reliefs on a bolt( gaps for the material to fall through) that's why a bolt will bind up. You're lucky the bed liner was soft enough not to snap the bolt.

If you have to use a bolt in a pinch, get an extra and cut reliefs onto it first (or just go to the hardware store and spend the few dollars on the tap)

But you've got me thinking on that front seal, I wonder if it wasn't put back down right after the liner

Yeah, it seems I did get lucky. As long as I don’t damage the truck, I’m fine.

I took it back off and it seems that the seal wants to tuck in towards the bed. Must be the right way.

I got a chance to check my cover today, the seal was rolled under like yours...I was easily able to set it on the out side just using a trim tool(anything flat that won't cut the rubber would work)
I don't know which way is right but I'll try this and see if it still leaks

Any more water getting in? I flipped mine as well and since then, no water has gotten it through some really good rains.

@JKLivin833 and @BigRed97 have you had trouble with the water pooling on top of the cover after a rain? I don't think it's hurting anything but will probably stretch it over time. Also just doesn't look very good to have 3-4 water puddles staying on the cover eveytime it rains. Thanks

Yea I get a little water pooled in the rear most section and even less in the other two. But to me that doesn't matter at all, it doesn't leak in and it rolls off as I back out of my driveway.

Mine must be pooling more than others then. It doesn't just roll off. I'll post a picture next time and see what others think compared to theirs.
