One minor disappointment of my Gladiator Diesel

I never hear the turbo spin up. I know it's working because it will plant me in my seat if I really step on the pedal.

I guess I just got used to hearing it on my 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Spyder with its 2.6L air-cooled flat 6 with factory turbo charger, and I expected to hear it on my JTD. That great sounding whistle is missing. ?

Get an cold air intake. It won't do anything for power. Just make a lot of noise.

I can hear mine spooling all the time without a cold air intake, not sure why you can't hear yours

I don't hear too much from the engine and if I am wearing earplugs it feels as if the car has a 6 litre V8 under the hood ...
