One piece rear soft window?

I'm just more curious than anything - why did Mopar create a three piece setup for the rear window? Could the corners not be attached to the window itself?

Definitely not, if you want a tight waterproof seal how they did it is great. I can't imagine trying to get that piece tight otherwise.

I think it's also so you can ride around with just the rear window removed and the cab corners in place. I don't, but some people probably do. Another reason is so the rear window can be rolled for storage in a bag designed to protect it from scratches.
