I have a Willys that has DRL on it and I purchased a set of the Oculus Switchbacks from Oracle and installed last Friday. The headlights, halos, and built-in amber turn signals work only when the lights are manually turned on. The fender turn signals and DRLs still work perfectly. Whenever I turn the light switch to AUTO the halos and built-in amber turn signals do not work. Also, I will normally get a message on the dash that one or both of my turn signals are not working even though they are. Any help with this would be appreciated. Yes the harness has been plugged in correctly under each fender.

Hello, on the switchback Oculus lights you can activate the Halo alone (without the headlight on) by turning the headlight switch to the parking light position.

As for the turn signals do you have factory Halogen or LED turn signals in the fenders?

I have the Halogen turn signals. When I first installed them they both worked perfectly for about 20 minutes and that was on Friday night. Then after that, the passenger side light turn signal on the Oculus was not working but my fender signal was. I uninstalled that side and reinstalled making sure everything was correct, it started to work fine again. Then on Saturday I kept getting the dash message that both turn signals were not operational but they actually were working fine and so were the lights and halos.
Now, fast forward to yesterday the turn signal was working half the time. This morning I switched it to parking light position and the halo on the driver side lit up but the passenger side did not, the low beam and high beam function are all I have left on the passenger side. So to clear this up, I have no halo or turn signal on the passenger side oculus and no fender turn signal either. Every once in a while the halo (and Oculus turn signal) will try to flash rapidly for a couple of seconds and then go back to not working. I have a long weekend trip ahead of me and really hope that I don't have to go back to stock lights. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I am having a similar issue. Were you able to get this resolved?

For me the headlights appear to work fine. My only problem is with the Halo. For now I just disconnected the Halo.

The driver side halo turn signal seems to work as expected most of the time but the passenger side has only worked for a few seconds. It does not have a halo when I turn on the lights and the signal does not flash amber. It appears to do two quick flashes for a while like some kind of error signal when I first turn them on.

I have the factory halogen turn signals on the front. LED on the rears.

Any help would be appreciated.

I called Oracle and they had me try to switch the cords that link the Blinker to the Headlight assembly. (To see if maybe one of the cords was bad) After this neither blinker\halo worked.

After this fail I decided to try my Tazer JL Mini to change the light setting. I have a Sport S with LED Tail lights and Halogen headlights and Front Turns. I set the Headlights to LED, Enabled the Halo and set the Front Turn to LED. After making those changes everything worked perfectly.

It was my understanding that that would not be necessary but that fixed it for me. (At least for Now)

We have confirmed this being a canbus related issue as the halo is adding more load on top of the factory bulb. In cases with Halogen Jeeps, that increase is enough to trip the system and shut down the signals, as the TIPM thinks it's a short.

The settings on the Tazer is a permanent fix for you. For guys that don't have a Tazer or JSCAN, we're working on a canbus harness for this. I don't have an ETA on this yet but will keep you guys posted.

Any update on this? I have a 2021 Rubicon that had factory halogen all around. I replaced both drl and turn signal bulbs with Oracle led replacements. Then I put in the Oculus switchback headlights. The turn signals work in both the fender and the oculus, but the passenger fender DRL and the passenger white halo do not work.

So I ended up doing something that was suggested above. I had installed LED daytime running lights and LED turn signal bulbs and the passenger side didn’t work. I unplugged the passenger side bulbs and reinstalled them and used the Tazer to set everything up. They have been working perfect for the last few weeks since doing this.

I’m glad the tazer worked for you! Unfortunately, I do not have one and I can’t justify buying one just to fix an issue that Oracle should make right on their own!
I realize in the future when I upgrade tires, I’ll need something to recalibrate the speedometer, but I’m just not ready to do that yet!

Still having this same issue. I have received and installed the new harnesses, but still have the issue of the blinkers no longer working. Please advise as i do not have a tazer.

We have a confirmed working plug & play solution in production. Should have them in a few weeks. Email [email protected] to get on the wait list.
