I sure hope this is true too!

"Don't worry. There's going to be a true soft top. I can't give my source unfortunately. But the door surrounds won't be integrated into the body, and all three (JL, JLU, JT) will have true soft tops."

The Toledo plant employee said that?

I love the lighting upgrades, front and back, but would like fog lights to be wider than headlights. Perhaps I'm alone on this.

I love the hood, fender vents, euro bumper extending up.
I love the jeep logo on running boards, and the removable inserts leaving three glass sunroofs, then removing the entire panels for full open air freedom.

I do hope for a fold down tailgate, instead of it opening sideways like a door.

I also hope we will still have some cargo space when all the roof panels are stored in the back.

I also really wonder why the mirrors are mounted on the doors instead of the junction between the windshield pillar and fenders?

Agree the fog lights would be better wider than the headlights. Would help give the car a wider look on bottom. And couldn't agree more on the wish for a fold down tailgate. Makes so much more sense.

Maybe the mirrors are mounted on doors so they're easier to reach from inside the car -- to fold and extend?

Really hope the fender vents are reality. Not only looks good but helps with aero.

I don't know that anyone else has noticed this, but in the spy shots where you can make out the headlights, they actually look dimensionally larger over the headlights on the JK/ JKU.

In the blurry poster shots they actually look oblong, not round. Hmmm.

The background picture looks kinda like the Southern Nevada part of the Mojave Desert. Is that the location in the picture?

Holy shit that's really close!

cerealdaemon:
do you work for jeep?

ArcherAce:
I work at the toledo factory, JK side
I have my doubts that a factory worker has seen the JL wrangler already but I bet these are close anyway.

BTW the LED lighting even in renderings makes a big difference in modernizing the look of the car. The current lights suck so that'll be a very welcome change.
