Yes, stupid is as stupid does, I smoke ! In looking for a way to remove the cigar smoke from my 2020 JT, I came across the use of Ozone generators. Yes I could just stop smoking but that's not going to happen. Any one with experience regarding Ozone generators ?

It's quite caustic from what I remember. Although it lasts only a short period of time. Can't remember how long. But it's a very short time. Not so sure on the cigarette smell. But it works for bacteria in water for sure.

They work on cigarette smoke. I was trying to sell a house that had been rented to a pair of smokers. The house was only 7 years old. Every prospective buyer said no and used the cigarette smoke smell as a reason not to buy. Even the realtor said it was very noticeable when first going inside, and my personal experience was the same. One potential buyer said the smell hit them as soon as the front door was opened. I had all the duct work and HVAC cleaned, people still smelled it. I hung Damp-rid and charcoal bags everywhere, no impact. Even after having the interior painted, which I had to do anyway, the odor was still prevalent. Finally brought in a large ozone generator machine, and they ran it for 48 hours with no entry to the house. It solved the problem and the house was under contract about a week after the ozone treatment was done.

We used them at detail shops for dealerships. It sort of works in cars but it’s not going to be effective if you’re smoking in it regularly.
The other caveat is you will need clean the vents, carpet, cabinets filter, etc in addition to the ozone cleaner.

Think it didn't work with rotten whale meat. Cigar smoke maybe deeper into the fabric.

Next time your at a hotel ask for the spray they use if you smoke in the room and get that 250 extra cleaning charge .

Another one is if you know someone who works in a hospice or VA hospital that works in the cleaning department. I should remember the name of the stuff they use. It will clear out the smell of rotting meat, smoke and about everything. A few drops of it or in a misting bottle sprayer, spray in, shut up windows leave it closed then next day open all the windows let it air out. It's will make your eyes burn but removes smoke smell. Likely the same thing some hotels use too.
I got a rental car that stunk from the prior people who rented it that must have been chain smoking cigarettes and weed both for days. That stuff knocked out the stench in a few hours setting in parking lot with windows up in S. FL heat.
