***Update*** Its a P0456 - EVAP System Leak code***
I have a 2021 Mojave that’s a year old and the CEL (steady) came on today at 8190 miles. I removed the gas cap and made sure it was clean all around and put it back on making sure it was tight. After I checked the gas cap I started it again and the light was still on. I noticed a slight miss and was able to get a couple of pics showing the minor change in RPM at idle. I plan on heading straight to the dealership tomorrow morning to see if they can scan it for me. The auto stop/start is working fine.

My local dealership has some pretty nice people working there, but it’s small and they don’t usually have up to date info it seems. I read some of the other posts and see there have been some TSB’s, but I couldn’t find links to them. If anyone could provide some links I would greatly appreciate it, or even a general description of possibly pertinent TSB’s. (I need my Jeep back quickly because I need to be with my mother who is in the hospital an hour and a half away.) TYIA.

*No engine modifications have been made and axle seal is the only other issue that I’ve had.

The "check engine" light can come on for dozens of reasons if not many more. There's no way you can check a forum and find the issue for YOUR truck without a CODE.
TSBs, the service bulletins will be a waste of your time until you know the exact code or issue. It could be some technical glitch, some errant reading, an O2 sensor, thermostat issue,
Looking for bulletins here will be a waste of time. So you find one about a misfire - a misfire can be caused by many things - ignition, fuel, cam issue, and a list of other stuff. Finding some bulletin will get you stuck on thinking that's what it is and you'll waste your time and their time.
They'll have the info. The error codes don't change often and TSBs don't come out that often on these. (not for engines, anyway)
Let them read it and go from there. Simply explain the symptoms and don't over-think it.

A good example of a misfire is my wife's Jeep when it had only about 800 miles on it. Yes, it was a misfire - it bucked, it jerked, it was rough and I used my adapter and software and found the code for misfire - ok, misfire, what next? The software showed me the misfire was ignition related. Fine, there's several parts to the ignition system.
It ended up being spark plugs.
And yet - that Jeep of hers is the only one I've read of that had a misfire caused by spark plugs. So what if you found a TSB and went to them with it? You'll have them chasing Canadian Geese.
We could provide links to any TSBs that mention misfires - and every one of them be so wrong.
Don't have them chasing after cams when it could be a coil. They'll know what to do - and don't expect it to be FAST - some things require time to find and more time to fix. Then there's parts.
Best to expect the thing to be down a while, especially if parts are needed. And I don't advocate driving with a misfire - you could end up in deeper waters.

No one here can tell you what it is - and anyone who tries is guessing, blowing smoke, throwing things at the wall to see what sticks.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve been rebuilding Jeeps and engines since I was a kid and I currently have an LS I’m rebuilding to put in my TJ. So, I’m pretty familiar with the many things that could be associated with the CEL. However, I was just looking for some particular TSB’s as my dealership wasn’t even aware that Gladiators have a known issue of axle seal leaks until I brought mine in just 2 1/2 months ago. It’s a pretty good (small) service dept, but they need a little educating sometimes on common issues. I would like to think that there are not copious amounts of TSB’s that have been issued for the JT’s related to a CEL, but I could be mistaken. And yes, if my code reader was readily available right now I would be closer to answers. Anyways, thanks again for the reply. ??
