Welp, after a MIL multiple misfire code on my previous gladiator, now my new 2024 Rubicon (1,400 miles) is throwing a P0456 code. I checked the gas cap and whatever hoses are on top of the engine for the fuel. I don’t really know what I’m looking for just made sure the tubing and connectors were seated. The gas cap did seem very easy to turn left to remove, but the rubber seal seamed fine.

Has anyone had this issue before and was it an easy fix by the dealer? I will keep this thread updated, maybe it can help someone in the future if they run into this type of issue.

If it was the gas cap, it should go away on the next few drives. Being new, it is possible a vacuum connection is not connected properly. If the code/ mil does not go away. The dealer will need to look for the leak. Could even be on the electrical control side or just a bad purge valve not seating.

OP did you ever figure out your issue? I've had the same code for a while now and have tried a new has cap and a new purge valve but still no luck, code comes back within a few weeks.
