Does anyone know how to adjust the tension of the parking brake handle. Everything works fine it just seems to be a little floppy until it engages.

Buy a 10mm deep socket and learn how to lift up your center console. 10k miles on a manual and I'm getting ready to tighten it for the 3rd time. I do not overcrank my handbrake.

Not the first manual vehicle I've owned. Never tightened a hand brake before owning my gladiator. Probably 150k+ miles on non jeep vehicles.

Don't let it get too loose, half of it will fall out of the mechanism and when that happens bye bye parking on anything but level ground until you make time to fix it.

It's a jeep thing I guess. I don't understand.

I thought mine was loose, but I took it to the dealership, and they told me it was normal, and that if they tightened it more, the brakes would bind. Mine needs to be cranked higher than I think it should. And today, we bought a (manual) JL, and it's way tighter than mine. That one is what it should be in my opinion.
