The last 2 days, in the morning, the passenger door binds when opening it. It probably only opens about 1/3 of the way and STOPS hard. You can pull it with some force all the way open, but obviously I don't want to do this without knowing the cause.

Any ideas? The doors have not come off since probably early October. The weather has been pretty cold lately, but wouldn't all the doors act the same?

Sounds like an issue with your door check device. Unbolt the door check (hold-open) device as if you were going to remove the door and see if the door opens freely.

Same thing after days of rain followed by 10 Degrees.

Hot water on the door check to get the door open. Liberal dousing of WD-40 pushed slush out when I exercised the door. White lithium on the check to prevent reoccurrence.

Poor design allows water to wick down the door check arm before it freezes.

Mine did the same thing after a hard rain and fairly cold temperatures. worked fine after a few tries and it warmed up. Only on the passenger door, too.
