First: THANK YOU!! you all helped me figure out wheels and tires, unfortunately timing (Covid19 crud) meant couldn’t get what I wanted when I wanted so picked up my JT 10 days ago with 2” lift and stock wheels/tires. Yuck lol!

Short question:
Is PCD 6 x 5.5 the same as 5x5 pattern? Will 6 x 5.5 fit the Gladiator? I thought it was 5x5 pattern? I’m so confused!

Long story behind short question:
So the wait kinda worked out, or so I thought: after a crazy experience with my local dealer (where I bought my GC Trailhawk 2.5 years ago) didn’t buy my JT from them couldn’t meet price I got (totally get that) maybe misunderstanding with sales, then two bad phone calls to parts and service in two days and an updated Yelp review by me their top reviewer, I was contacted by the dealership owner.

He was fantastic, apologized and took responsibility, said it was his fault with some layoffs, letting people go etc. people answering phones and dealing with customers weren’t prepared or properly trained, I thought that was good business. I was impressed and planned to update my yelp review. Mistakes happen. Accountability is RARE!

Then completely unexpected he offered to get Mopar grill insert part, that parts told me didn’t exist (I had already ordered from allMoparparts) then offered to get my wheels (which they normally don’t carry) and my tires, which they can easily get and install and do recalibration (which service told me the don’t do and then said would cost hundreds of dollars more?!) so he offered to take care of EVERYTHING that had been an issue, I just pay parts cost. I was really impressed, said yep let’s do it, told him the wheels and tires and he got back to me telling me His distributor didn’t have my wheels but his parts guy already ordered online and they’d let me know as soon as they were in.
That was 2 weeks ago.
Last Friday he text me apologized, sent a picture of the 5 wheel boxes and explained the seller shipped 2 of the wrong style along with three correct wheels, they were taking care of it and would let me know as soon as replacements were in.
I didn’t think about it until today, not sure why I looked at the photo, the wheels are right style, color and size but say PCD 6.5x5
From my research that’s the bolt pattern and WILL NOT fit my JT?!
But I’m a newbie maybe I’m an idiot and I’m reading it wrong or don’t know about fitment?! Don’t want to point it out if it’s me that’s wrong and not them but DO want to point it out if it will cause another delay in my wheels/tires being installed.

Learning to read lug patterns is easy...

Typical verbal pronunciation is “6 on 5 & a half”. Or... “5 on 5”.

6x5.5” = 6 (lugs) spaced 5.5” apart on-center.

5x5” = 5 (lugs) spaces 5” apart on-center.

The 6-lug has typically always been a GM, Dodge, & Toyota (and other Japanese trucks) pattern, along with a few oddball exceptions over the years.

5x5 is the Jeep pattern. :like:

Thank you, exactly what I needed.

Darn now I have to call the dealer and tell them even the “right” wheels are the wrong wheels.

Thank you for the correct pronunciation as well, it helps to NOT look like a total idiot when I’m talking to the “professionals” at the service shop.
