Intriguing. This thing has way better specs than the Insane Audio units, and a much bigger screen. The "Specifications" link on their web page appears to be broken, but theres some solid info in the pictures and description - far more than IA is offering.

It looks like the 6gb / 128gb unit is sold out. I sent them an email asking if I could be notified when its back in stock to purchase one, and I got an automated email that they had created an account for me.. Generic weird / goofy china stuff.

I get pretty sketched out by these because I dont know what kinda software or data theft stuff could be buried in the OS - Id really rather go with a name brand - but the specs on this are so much better than what IA or Stinger are offering, its really tempting.

Looks like the resolution on these is 1600x1200 (found by googling, wasnt listed on the product page, could be wrong) which is pretty disappointing - limited value added in having a much bigger screen if the resolution is still trash, as shown by the MASSIVE icons and text in the pictures.

If this thing was HD, Id have a really hard time saying no to it. Im glad theyre sold out, Id strongly consider purchasing one to try it out. For now Ill probably keep limping along with my IA JL3001, but man, Id really like something with better specs.

I found it easier and quicker to contact them through messenger, if u have it.

So, as far as the resolution is concerned, I don't mind it at all, especially when watching YouTube videos. The backup camera is a little grainy, but Nav (I use Waze) looks and works fine. I'm very happy with mine, despite it's occasional wonkiness with certain launch screens. I also wish the physical buttons weren't so generic, but I've gotten used to it.

Have u been able to download Netflix? I tried their way, but both versions say not compatible

Love this radio. The only issues I am having are that my USB hubs do not work, I get 4 loud beeps every time I start my Jeep, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to make my speakers sound even half way decent. Any ideas?

Did u try the equalizer app already loaded on there for speakers? Rock setting is definitely the best, I'm sure it can be tweeked further afterwards to ur liking. As for the USB not working and the beeps, might have to pull the unit out and check ur connections.

I looked into the IA, Stinger and Linkswell. None of them integrated with the OEM Mic and GPS antenna. They utilized the OEM USB though. The resolution is fine for anything I need. I am not trying to game or do anything that requires a higher resolution. The OEM integration is far more important to me. And the price difference is completely unjustified to me.

i bought the Linkswell when it got released. cost alot more then this one for sure. my only issue is the boot

i installed the linkswell in mine. only issue i have with it is the boot time. how is the boot time on yours? may change just for that

Hi guys, ended up picking up one of these myself. Super easy install, thanks to everyone here. I've been playing with the launchers and so far consider carwebguru as one of the best launchers for our verticle display. Super customizable and a ton of themes... it does take a little playing and know how to setup, but ends up being super cool...

Do a search on youtube for verticle carwebguru themes and you'll find a few examples... Super cool and very worth it.

Also, if you are looking to add a SIM card and have cell service direct on the radio, I can confirm that Ultra Mobile works great...insert the card in either slot and reboot. It will come up with service right after. Of course you'll need to activate the card first once you get it...

Anyway, having fun tweaking this thing. It has tons of potential.

I'm fighting an ongoing audio glitching issue with my factory 7" & CarPlay, so I pulled the trigger on an open box 6G/128GB unit. Looking forward to getting it! Hope it works out well & eliminates my audio issues. I've been planning on ordering the MB Quart system for the Gladiator, and if this unit works well - the cost of the unit is almost completely offset by the cheaper cost of the MB Quart setup for use with an aftermarket head unit.

Total was $493 shipped w/coupon code ST2022.

This unit has DSP so it takes a bit of tweaking to get the sound just right. It is worth the effort.

I've tried a few launchers, and I'd really prefer to simply use Android auto... I'm not super computer savvy, but I can follow directions pretty well, lol... Also is there a way to uninstall some of the preloaded apps, including the launcher it comes with?

I have an iPhone so I can’t speak to the Android Auto question.

You can change the default launcher but, without hacking, you cannot uninstall the launcher included in the radio.

What other things are you wanting to uninstall?

Haven't been able to resize android auto yet, but I also mainly use Hotspot on phone so I can have Google maps and gpx maps up with MY music. As for uninstalling apps, just try the same way with others, tap and hold. If that doesn't work, then it will require hacking into software as stated by @billfraley

While wearing polarized sunglasses, I can't see my screen clearly while driving unless I lean over to basically get a straight-on view. Anybody solve this issue? Is there a screen protector out there that'll fit to fix this problem?
