For you guys who just swapped wheels & tires without the lift, did it change the ride much? For a while my overland will be my daily driver and I have about 60 miles round trip a day of highway driving, so trying not to kill the mileage or the comfort until I have something for commuting.
my opinion, because I did not weigh then to determine the weight difference, is the rubicon wheels and Falkens are a little heavier. But ride quality to me was better or more to my liking with the little extrasidewall and they way they fit the Jeep. I was planning on keeping my LE wheels and tires and just upgrade tires like I thought in February. But changed my mind and orders a whole new set so the rubicons will be coming off soon.

I did not notice any change in mpg with the swap.

Thanks, Iā€™m definitely going to keep a lookout for some take offs.

Didnā€™t notice any difference, other than your ride looking insanely cooler :)

I actually like the Overland Wheels as much as the standard Rubicon wheels so Iā€™m putting 265/70/18 A/Ts on my Overland. Thatā€™s roughly the same size as the Rubicon tires. Probably with Revo 3s. Theyā€™re great tires with an aggressive look but super light. Even the E loads.

maybe a 275/75/18, which is actually larger at 33.3ā€.

Rubicon "take-offs" are basically the same size as the originals as far as height. Oh, a bit different, but not enough to bother with. When set right next to each other off the truck, there's very little difference in diameter.
Change in ride - a bit. Mine doesn't have quite the same soft ride and is a bit less quiet, but nothing to complain about. I haven't asked her directly but my wife never said a thing after I swapped tires and wheels and we went to Indiana. More road noise but can't complain.
The speedometer is even extremely close to correct.

I put the stock Rubicon tires and wheels on my Overland, they were taken off a Gladiator Rubicon with a few hundred miles on it.

Swapped out for some rubicon take-offs, thank you guys for all the feedback from your swaps. Iā€™m loving the new look and tires.

I like the look. Do you have any lift on? How do these compare MPG and ride to the original HT's?
Thank you. No lift. I havenā€™t been on a road trip, it around town is basically the same according to the computer. They are heavy tires since I chose the E Load, but the ride it great. It actually feels more stable and connected to the ground. I do notice that it kicks out of 8th gear easier on the interstate if I go over 75 mph. The power is fine though. There is a slight hesitation when you first step on it (compared to stock) but itā€™s really not bad at all.

They actually look bigger in person. They measure out to 33.4ā€, which is an over sized 33. That particular tire is light for an E load, partially why I bought it, but itā€™s still 10 lbs heavier than the oem tires. Their road manners are excellent. It tracks and handles better than stock, you canā€™t hear them, and they have been great in the rain too.

Thanks for the info...for me I think the extra tire weight and width may help slightly with the "wander" I currently feel time to time. I think this will be my choice when I make the switch.

It doesnā€™t wander for sure.
