So I ended up grabbing the following parts:
  • Rough Country 2.5” Coil lift/level with N3 Shocks
  • 3/4” Daystar Rear Spacers
  • Metal Cloak Front Track Bar
  • Metal Cloak Front Lower Control Arms
The Daystar spacers haven’t shipped yet but everything else is on its way. Hopefully it’s here in time for an install 2 weeks from now.

I almost went with the Metal Cloak 2.5” Lift/Level but I don’t know if I need dual rate springs or long travel shocks for my use. I initially wanted a 3.5” lift but I decided to hold off on that until I pay off the truck and can afford a full, proper lift (i.e. Front drive shaft replacement, ALL control arms, 37s, regear, etc.).

To save anyone reading this some time, the summary is that if you level or lift your JT at all, get an adjustable track bar. Night and day experience on the freeway. I had no idea what I was missing. Also, with a max tow you may want more lift in the rear with RC’s 2.5” level kit.

Here it is installed. I can get some better pictures tomorrow. Oddly enough, I measured it perfectly level on the driver side to the front and rear rock rails and just under half an inch taller in the rear on the passenger side. I’ll remeasure in a couple of weeks to see if the front springs settled some.

The very good news is that this thing drives EXCEPTIONALLY well on the freeway. I drove it about 10 miles on the highway, fairly windy, and the truck tracks straight as hell. Between the MC track bar, MC front lower control arms, and the Teraflex steering stabilizer, it was just great to drive on the highway. That was all at 80 mph too.

At lower speeds around the city, the Rough Country N3 shocks are definitely stiffer than stock as expected. However, they do soak up bumps on the road much better at higher speeds on the freeway. I’m not mad at that at all. They’ll stay on my JT until I add more lift in the rear.

Lesson learned:

- I want more lift in the rear. I’ll probably add 2” rear springs eventually (Synergy, Eibach, or Clayton - whichever is stiffer) and a rear MC track bar

No other complaints.

Agreed,I did 3/4” in the rear on my JTR and it’s not enough, I have a 1.5” spacer and the mopar rear sway links sitting in my garage- just need to find the time to install.

I've got a 2022 Rubicon diesel. Added Warn VR 10S and Warn plate to factory steel bumper. Front end is in the weeds. I ordered Metalcloak 2.5" leveling kit for stock shocks. I'll get it installed and post some pics. Can't decide between 37's or 35's. I guess the lift will let me know once it is installed.
