I know many owners have rock sliders, steps, or other upgrades to hide the pinch welds at the bottom of the doors. Some colors hide them better than others. My white Gladiator (> Other Colors see my other post) especially shows this edge as an eyesore. I took someone else’s suggestion and simply painted it black. Made it all disappear and made the white edge look more finished. An astounding transformation for the cost and effort in my estimation. The paint was just over $11 and the roll of painter tape was about $7 both purchased at my local Home Depot. I used some printer paper to mask off the doors. About 45 min all in being extremely careful with the tape placement.

Not bad. That pinch weld is something that should be addressed at the factory. It looked terrible on the JK, looks just as bad on the JL/JT.
Fortunately I found a cheap set of sliders and opted for that route.

Damn. I’m there about once per year visiting the in laws, but we were just down there!
