My ‘23 JT Rubicon with 26k miles has a few issues going on… front axle u-joint is shot, all four shocks are leaking, and the dealer found the misfire that indicates the intake lifters and cam are going. I knew the risk of the 3.6l when I bought the jeep, so I was very careful about doing oil changes at 5k with good oil and wix filters. The dealership is great and doing the repairs with no questions asked.
My main question is how much luck have others had with the cam replacement? Is it bad parts from the initial build that once replaced the motor will be fine? Or do the motors that have lifter/cam failure keep having failures even after repair?
