I just got done installing the full plug and play kit from trail seven which includes kicker cs dash,knee speakers "6inch in a new housing, the sound bar speaker pods and a 10inch down firing kicker sub with a kicker cx 5 channel amp rated at 660 watts.
I have a lot of questions if anyone has experience tuning these amps. I'm using the amp pro for a non factory amplified system and the adjustments aren't really clear and it's hard to find info on this or so Ive found.
After initially setting up I had no sound at all and quickly realized it was because I didn't have the amp pro knob installed. "Confused on what this knob really does. I know it's for setting chime and minimum volume" after plugging in I heard sound but no bass at all. Turned it up and sub came alive. Is this actually a bass knob? When it was down it seemed to effect the sound level overall even with the mids and highs. The instructions for it don't make clear what it's really used for outside of setting chime.
Secondly, not really havinguch experience with amp settings, does anyone have a good idea of the cross over settings for these amps for the highs mids? Just looking on some insight with those who have done this.
