so I’m newer to having E rated tires 285/70/17. My original where the sport 245/75/17. There rating was 36 psi. I’ve been seeing a lot of YouTube videos with chalk tests that show 30psi for even wear. Is 30 too low for E rated? I though they get hot at highway speeds. I have Firestone XT. And manufacture states 35-80 psi. I have no clue what to set at. I know there are threads but I’m hoping you guys could help me

Air pressure is dependent on vehicle weight. Heavier the vehicle the more air pressure needed. The same tires on my 7,500 lb Power Wagon would be 45 front and 40 rear. One my 5,300 lb JTRD, it's 36 front and 33 rear. That's empty bed. Now put something heavy in the bed. Now you have to raise air pressure. Do the chalk test.
