Quick question: Is climate control supposed to be backlit at night?

New owner here . . . kind of a basic question. Took one of my first drives in the AM before the sun was up. Is the climate control supposed to be backlit? Pretty hard to adjust in the dark!

Thanks! Took me a while to figure out the autodimming settings and how they interact with the typical roller dial interior light control. But I think I have it now.
