Radiator Cooling Fan Rub

Hey Guys,

I think I have narrowed it down to the radiator cooling fan.

Got out of the rig yesterday to go in the store and there was a significant (rattle like) noise coming from the main front of the engine. I come back out and it was gone. When I got home (with the engine off) I rotated the cooling fan and it is rubbing the shroud.


Has anyone had this issue?

Checked it yesterday again .... It seems either the fan or the shroud is a tick off. Slightly rubs in one certain area. When I have the time I am just going to slightly grind down that rub area and call it a day

I had my fan/shroud assembly out yesterday for cleaning. It isn’t too bad to do if you’re going to take it all out to work on. Reading your post, I checked mine and don’t see/feel any rubbing. I’m not sure where my slight wine is coming from… ??‍

So I have this exact issue. I started poking around today and it’s like the plastic fan blade got out of round or something. I guess I’m going to have to remove it to get the access I need.
