Remote locking extra storage?

Seems like it would be possible to create locking storage that you can lock/unlock remotely with your keyfob (under back seat/under driver seat/center console/maybe even equipment racks for jacks etc...). Anyone seen this or have leads on how it could be done?

Interesting concept. My guess would probably be if you could tap into the signal for lock/unlock, since you probably won't be able to build a receiver on your own. You would then need some kind of motor to drive the inside of the lock on that action.
