Remove wire from harness

Hello, I'm installing the OEM aux switches but can not for the life of me get that orange wire to come loose from the harness. Can someone please help here? What tool exactly and the process. All the tutorials breaze over this spot.

It's difficult to describe. You have to go off "feel". DON'T get mad and butcher it.
