Removing Altitude rear bumper question

I’m trying to remove my son’s factory rear bumper, and I’m almost done, but I cannot get the wiring harness disconnected. I know that I’m supposed to push the tab on the side and pull it off, but for the life of me, it won’t budge. What am I doing wrong? I’ve watched videos and they all slim over this part, because it’s supposed to be simple, but I’m getting really frustrated.
