Hey everyone, I’m pretty new to everything jeep, was just curious has anyone switched out their oem locker and aux switches for aftermarket switches? Trying to see what the process was since I am adding a front locker to my Mojave. Is it possible? Do I need to do programming? Thank you in advance.

The challenge here is the factory features are all based in the CAN bus. This does not talk to the bus, so it will work for your accessories but pretty sure you can't connect up your factory locker with out serious hoops and you would also loose integration as well. I would just do the half panel if I were in your situation.

Thank you for the reply.
Do you know what the process would be if I switched the Mojave panel with the rubicon or the lasfit option? I’m wanting to be able to engage the rear locker separately from the front

The Mojave does not have a front locker, only rear. If you already have aux buttons from the factory, I would leave it alone. If you need more buttons add them other ways. I have seen people install switches in the panel under the Aux and locker panel.

For example:

What all are you trying to wire up? In my previous JKU I had the 6 switch sPod, I bought it used and the previous owner had already done a lift and 37’s but left the stock 3.73 gears. So when I decided to re-gear to 5.13 I had to swap the front axle in order to fit them. I found a brand new in the crate Rubicon 44, so once it was installed I wired up the front locker to one of the switches.

Depending on what all you are looking to add, I would recommend the VOSwitch, that is what I added to my Gladiator. I did the 6 switch that fits in the factory location, if I decide later I need more switches I will look at adding the 4 switch option to the grab handle.

So I am adding the front locker, rock lights, winch, my GMRS radio, bumper lights, light bar, bed rack lights, and rear bumper pod lights. I am okay with the lockers not being shown on the off road pages if I did go that route would I need to program the computer so it knows that it’s not suppose to register the locker? Would it affect the off road plus too?

I can’t help with that, I did my front locker on a JKU without the problems that come with the newer electronics. That was straight forward, but on the Gladiator I am sure it would be more involved if you want it to be recognized by the BCM/PCM.

Short version:
1) add the rubi front locker harness (adds a few pins to an existing plug under the brake booster)
2) add the automotive locker sensor bypass harness to the end of the locker harness
3) swap the Mojave locker switch for rubi locker switch
4) enable front locker functionality with a programmer (I used a tazer)

Then you are set to add a front locker.

There is a more thorough write-up/thread floating around, but this is totally doable

For my other electrical, I use the 4 oem aux switches and have added a voswitch jl400.
