Well I installed the gears this weekend, went with 4.88s and that seems to be the sweet spot on the road.
At 65mph i am tacking 2k and it seems perfect.
now this is with a 38" measurement
I haven't seen a tire yet that is true to its numbering.

On a side note, I was amazed buy the shavings with Only a 1000 miles on my 4.10 gears!
My buddy has a Speed shop he is the one that really did the work. :)

Like shavings in the diff? That’s not cool.

What are you guys running with 38s & 40s

I was going to go 5,13 or 5,38

It's not about driving fast just want TQ/Power to the ground.

Don’t get me wrong I drive my Jeeps on the Interstate

So you Professionals tell me what Gears to go with
I have 5.13 on 37x20s was told it should be no different running 38s. 5.13s Restored the power, shift’s correctly & now gets better MPG than my stock 33x17s. I get 16.5MPG mostly non highway driving at a Mile high. If you go larger than 38s you’ll really need to swap axles Dana 60s for 40”s. Cost was the reason I stuck with 37-38”s tire size & 38 Nitto’s we’re not available at the time. The cost of 40’s was too high to do it right. As far as the gearing 5.13s were perfect for 37’s.
