It's higher than the roof line and is bulbous around the edges of the bed. I'm super glad I waited to see it before putting the 75% down they wanted.

See, I WANT it to be above roofline because I plan to carry a hardshell rooftop tent on top of it. I'm also not seeing anything "bulbous", just the side door panels sitting higher than the sides themselves.

Anyways, to each their own! I'm sure there will be some awesome toppers coming out. I'm still going between a topper and the Leitner rack system which I think looks amazing and is a little more versatile as far as using the bed, but of course doesn't offer the same weather protection as a topper or the same security. Tough choices!

It’s only above the roof line if you add the rack. Correction: It looks like in the actual pic it is a little taller than the hardtop. Actually, I like that better as it affords more headroom in the canopy.

I love the foldout kitchen options and side cabinets, but I wish there were more details and a review video to go with it. I like the high strength and dynamic load numbers. It offers. But it doesn't perfectly match the vertical line of the factory hardtop rear, and I'm not sure if that's a deal breaker. Interested to see how it looks on a soft top, and make sure that its action isnt affected, but it doesnt look like it would be.

I think this is a front runner for me over the Leitner rack, I like the positive displacement/keep the dust out nature, and burly but clean look.

I’ll post pics when I get mine installed. Hopefully mid November.
Have you gotten anymore info on the canopy. I would love to find more pictures. Really wanting to see how it lines up with the sides of the hardtop

Nothing at the moment. I’m trying to get clarification on the requirement of the trail management system. I don’t have it at the moment so if that’s a requirement that will be an additional cost again.....

The email response I got stated that it needed the trail rail system specifically in the back...not 100% sure if that means you only need the portion of the rail system in the back of the bed or if you need the whole thing. Definitely interested to get some first hand info when someone is able to get their hands on one and report on the details.

I have one on order from the Seattle dealer, Adventure Ready, scheduled to arrive in a couple weeks. I asked him about the trail rail system. He said you need the side rails only, not the one across the front of the bed.

Do you guys know if this has to be the mopar ones or will aftermarket ones work? I’m assuming it’s just looking for a way to secure the shell onto the bed.

I have one coming from Rhino Adventure down south. Also scheduled for mid November. I love the look. Reminds me of my time in the service with Humvee's. I'll post pictures when it comes. Ordered the black on black. Might get it color matched later.

I didn’t ask that question but your supposition seems logical.

Well, hmm . . . it does look "the part," and the weight, if accurate, is inviting, but I still stand by my NOT 4 ME ! IT is a South African "Stainless Steel" Company, which is why it's made from stainless . Not against it being from S. Africa ! Stainless is a Very Poor INSULATOR and fact it, "difficult" to weld vs. other metals - I do not profess to be very knowledgable ! It will quickly get as cold or hot as the surrounding atmosphere - much more so (than fiberglass or composite) INSIDE when closed up . Another reason to go more high-tech with Composite materials . I do like the look / design, but things I do NOT like -- the HINGES . They are a "weak Link" to Easy break-in access . Needed to be Hidden hinges (such as, say, ARE's CAP rear door / higher end models) and More than the 2 per side . The "strengthened"(?) rear glass . . . what exactly IS that ? Now Gorilla Glass would be very nice or Security glass or Automotive grade glass !? And of course the ~$3200 to START is comparable to higher end Fiberglass Caps made in the USA, beckoning the question . . . ? . . . why so "inexpensive"? As in buying a 1st year model ANYTHING, I wonder why so many (relatively speaking, (here) are jumping on this, or at least saying they are ? Confusing to me . :headbang: Well, I'll just be Mr. Caution and hope I won't have to play the "Cautionary Tale" teller, this time next year ! ? Can't wait to see everybody's new RLD Cap INSTALLED -- lots of pics please . :surprised: ;)
