It’s an odd thing to steal. Of course someone might have been cruising around looking for just that part. But as a crime of opportunity…now putting on my counterfeit McGruff “crime hat”:
1. Do they float? Any swimming pools with teens around?
2. Do they slide nicely on pavement? That could ease the back pain of a long night snipping catalytic converters. Anyone here have experience with that?
3. Do you have a Butler with a candlestick?I hear they’re a shady lot.

I used Krylon Fusion in satin. It's made for plastics. I precleaned with alcohol before painting. So far, so good. I made insulation panels to help with heat and noise.
Also , who is going to steal a painted roof panel?
