Just purchased an IKamper Skycamp 2.0. Have a bed rack with crossbars for mounting on bed and partially over the roof. Had it installed today on my Gladiator with soft top and can’t drive over 35 without it sounding like the roof is going to come off Popping and wind noise is deafening. Anybody else have this set up? Believe it may need to be repositioned just not sure if it needs to move up or back. It is positioned with a longer overhang over roof and small tailgate overhang. Any help appreciated.

Can you post some pictures?

I have the mini and centered it above my bed Rack, the front is below the roof line and it raises as it gets to the rear bumper. It's about 2.5' shorter though.

They do need to be mounted so they open on the passenger side. There is a plate on the one end that needs to face towards the front so that air can not get under the hard shell.

I had no change in wind noise since I installed mine.

Someone here has a hard-sided pop-up camper that hangs over his soft top, and had similar loud popping from wind being erratically deflected down onto the soft top. He shoved a pool noodle in between and it helped a lot. Something to try as a stopgap if nothing else...
