Hey folks. New guy here. I just bought a 21' Gladiator Willy model. I'm in the middle of installing an MLC-6 & where the control fuse box is supposed to go there's a aluminum line with an outlet covered with a grey plastic cap in the way.
I ordered the RC unit for the JL/JT model. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never mind, answered my own question.

Part of the AC system.

The plastic cap covers a charge (fill) point.

Which version did you get? They ALL have the same MLC-6 name.

They have a JK only, (look at base plate) https://www.roughcountry.com/mlc6-m...2.html?find=2021-jeep-gladiator-jt-4wd-756566

Then they have a JL/JT version (look at base plate) https://www.roughcountry.com/mlc6-m...c.html?find=2021-jeep-gladiator-jt-4wd-756566

The AC lines are ran differently between JK and JL/JT.
I just noticed on the manufacturer's website it states does not fit on a diesel model... BUMMER
Any way around the A/C portal line? Otherwise I'll send it back.

On the gasser that tee is farther forward and then the bracket has bends in it to put it above the AC line.

I know what I would do if I REALLY wanted the MLC, I'd see if a hole drilled in the base plate at that exact location would allow the bracket to pass over the cap without rubbing on the tubing.
Would take a decent size hole, probably would need the biggest step bit (vari-bit) that Lowes carries.

If you decide to go that route, see if the bracket holding the AC line can be moved to the next bolt back next to washer bottle.

That’s a great setup. I’ve got it on mine, with the switch panel in the cubby. If you can figure a work around mounting it, you won’t regret it.

I thought about drilling a larger hole but decided it wasn't worth it. I've since returned to controller. Thank you all for your input.
