It’s arriving soon and I need a tool to put in the nutserts. There’s not much info online which tool I need.

can you guys point me in the right direction?
Also, would it be a good idea to put black rtv in the drilled holes to keep moisture out? Or just touch up the hole with some paint before installing the nutserts?

i wonder if i used self tapping bolt heads instead of riv nuts would it hold as well? if i drill im planning to use touch up paint on the holes prior to installing a riv nut if i go that way. Saw this video today.
I have the same panels and went with the Riv Nut option, just a warning.

Had no issues drilling the front and center sides of the bed. Where I had a problem was the rear most drill point next to the tail gate.

The way the L-brackets are shaped, you naturally want to place them horizontally, and that's what causes the following issue. There's a hardened steel support brace about halfway up from your marked drill point for a horizontally placed bracket. This ends up causing the drill bit to walk while you're drilling and you end up with a horrible oblong hole where your rivnut should be.

I got lucky and was still able to install the rivnut, but I recommend that for anyone else who is marking the drill points is to angle that rear most L-bracket about 30 or 45 degrees pointed downwards to avoid the brace so that the drill stays true.
