I keep hearing "we need more land." Because she's plugged every square inch of our yard with roses, and has easily 2 dozen in pots with nowhere to put them. That and it has to be "cute."

Me? I'm buying a garage that comes with a yard and a house.

My wife's boss retired and she and her husband bought 38 acres of land and built a 4,000 square foot house on it. BIG house for two retired people. Her husband said he was having a barn built for all his equipment. A year later when we went to visit, I saw the "barn". 80 feet by 120 feet, a good 20 feet or more tall. He had all his gear in it and it still looked empty. I asked why that big, he shrugged his shoulders and said, "Why not ?".

There's a variation of Boyle's Law that says no matter how large the space is, over time we'll expand our collection of crap to fill it.

I grew up with a big yard so I thought that was what I needed.

I bought a place on a lake with a small yard and I love it. I don't hunt or grow a garden. I don't mow. I'm sure I'd also love a big yard on our lake, but I'm not rich.

Yeah, stock axles have limits. Metalcloak or a proper regear would've saved that trip. Rocks don't care what your factory warranty says.
