Hi everybody.
Has anybody taken the plunge and picked one of these? If so, what's your take on quality/value? Im curious why it says "Professional installation is recommended", and also if the 2 end caps that are removable on the OEM bumper are removable on this bumper was well to make it stubby.

Finally, it looks like you need a winch plate separately if you buy this, which is sort of a bummer. Upon further research it appears the same goes for the OEM bumper as well. Kind of seems strange to me, but oh well.

This is, by far, my favorite anniversary replica bumper: https://www.quadratec.com/products/22006_42_07.htm

Lots of info here on the forum somewhere but fit and finish isn’t 100%. People have had great luck powder coating it and that seems to last. For the price it’s hard to beat, but you’ll need to factor in a winch plate as well if you plan to go that route.

My Wife and I both have one from eBay. I sand them down and prime and bed line them with Raptor spray liner. Mine is a few years old now and has been fine.

Some eBay listings include the winch plate. Here is a link to the one I purchased a few months ago for my Wife's JLR. eBay

Here's a link to the prep I did on the first one I bought.

Paint and finish on the one I installed was minimal and required a complete refinish. The one I purchased had a winch plate that was “flexible” once the winch was installed.

I replaced it with Mopar one off a 392 that was too good to pass up.

I wish the bumper were more affordable new.. You can get some great bumpers for $200-400 less than the actual Mopar one, even before the winch plate.

agreed on this. The dilemma is I got my truck with the steel skid plate under the plastic bumper, and I don't want to have fabricate anything in order to continue to use the steel skid plate.

This might be a losing battle.
