Rubicon fender flares on a Sport S?

Will the rubicon fender flares fit on a sport s? I had heard the rubicon flares have more room for bigger tires. Has anyone done this? Is it an easy swap? I also want to do it because I want to ditch the body colored flares on my gladiator and get black ones.

Yes, they will fit. Buy yourself enough of the plastic clips to replace them all.

They can be very uncooperative coming off.

Keep in mind when looking for the Rubicon fender flares, You also want the inner liners also as they are unique to them.

A few vendors like @AllMoparParts.com sell complete OEM new kits.

I have made the change on my 80th anniversary that is basically a Sport S. As said get extra clips. I have taken fenders off a few times and each time I have needed to replace several broken clips. You will also need to find out if your fender lights will fit into the Rubicon fenders. The fenders I bought came with LED lights. With the LED fender lights I had to change the computer light setting to LED. When pulling the fender you will have a light harness that will need to be disconnected. You can find a few YouTube videos regarding JL/JT fender removal process.

I put some takeoff Rubicon fender flares on my 22 Sport S. I did the front fender chop with the Infinite Offroad kit and have been pleased with everything. I may chop the rear flares but haven’t made up my mind yet. I had the stock color matched fenders.
