Rubicon Rock Rail Mod. Need Help.

Hey ya'll I have a Sport S and bought some take off Rubicon Rock Rails for a good deal. I wanted to put them on my Sport S that has nothing there. However, I want to add steps also for my wife who is 4'11 and can barely get in now with 35s and plan on doing a lift next. SO....has anyone been able to add steps to the OEM rock rails??

In one of his videos he takes the stock rock rails and adds tubing to them to make them into rock sliders. This is the route I may go.
