RUBICON W/ 37s on stock wheels wheel spacer question

I have 37s on my stock wheels and they rub on my skid plate (I removed it for now). anyone running this setup w/ wheel spacers? I'd like to get the narrowest ones possible to eliminate my rub. Lifting eventually but not ready yet.

Do you have the steel bumper or plastic Rubicon bumper?

I have 37s on stock lift and wheels with no rub with normal on road driving. That was with my stock plastic Rubicon bumper/skid plate.

Here are some pictures before I swapped bumpers.

If you're getting spacers, just make sure you get hubcentric spacers. Most I've seen are 1.75". I may go the route with first fenders before I add any lift. But I won't be doing wild offroading in the JT. We'll use my wife's JKU for any thing serious.

The guy at local 4x4 store that I bounce questions off of told me 1-1/2" spacers on stock wheels for 35's & 37's.

He's never steered me wrong before.
