Rugged Ridge grab handle problems

I ordered some Rugged Ridge grab handles back in late June, mainly to help my wife and her mother get in the cab. I was adjusting the straps yesterday, and I discovered that the handle was almost completely separated from the body, the stitching had come almost completely undone and the next person to put some pressure on it would have ended up on the ground. I'm outside of Amazon's return policy period, so I contacted Rugged Ridge directly via email and provided them the picture I'm putting below. I hope they respond....if not, I'll order a different brand and leave a bad review.

I expected more from Rugged Ridge, I've heard all kinds of good things about them, I know this is only a $25 set of grab handles, but if you can't handle the little stuff, how can I trust that you know how to deal with the big stuff?

That sucks. I also have Rugged Ridge grab handles. I’d be shocked if they don’t make it right for you.

Did you call or email them prior to posting online ? What did they say ? Are they refusing to help ?

As I stated, I emailed them (yesterday morning) and I got an auto-generated email response but nothing from them yet. I'll update this thread with what happens.

I initially called and they told me I had to email and provide a picture.

I went with the Bartact based on the positive reviews and they are made in the USA. Plus they have a color to match Nacho. I remember reading some negative reviews on the Rugged Ridge grab handles on one site.

Good news, Rugged Ridge expedited me a new set of the grips. I've installed them on both front door frames so we'll see what happens. I am not hopeful, because they don't appear to be any stronger or any better made than the original pair, but a few months will tell the tale.
