Why read all that? It's much, much quicker just to start a new thread. And that's what counts. Thread count. J.Lo is all over that.Just to help folks do searches -
Yes, Google works and works well, sometimes better. There's a Google button in the forum search that automatically puts the forum domain in so that it searches only this domain, but with Google or a forum search, sometimes there are "Tricks" or ways that help refine the search that aren't too complex.
Leave out common words,
Use quotes - I found the results in pic below using "vehicle will shut" - WITH the quotes. Otherwise, you'd find results with the word "will" or "shut" (like shut door, for example) or other combinations.
I did not include the words off or down because sometimes people paraphrase error or cluster messages. Will it say "vehicle will shut down" or was the message "vehicle will shut off". You may see one word in the Jeep's error message but type another, complicating a search for that post later.
If you get too specific in a search, you'll never find the results you are after.
If you use too many words, it will feed back garbage.
In this case, the words "vehicle will shut" are not likely at all to be used in any other way but the next word could be down or off, depending.........
If you don't use quotes for searches for phrases, you will get results for the individual words.
I sometimes also change the results for relevance rather than date if I don't care when the post was made.
If I had used "vehicle will shut down" I would have missed the posts that say "vehicle will shut off".....
Sometimes I think it's logic as well as psychology - what would they have typed, how would they have said it...........and what words are least likely to be used in any other phrase or sentence.
