Make the toughest bed mats around!! Somebody has to do it!
Why not utilize the two access panels on the tailgate? Provide longer bolts to line up with the existing holes and sandwich the existing panel. Maybe include some kind of metal template around the holes on the mat side? Still have to come up with something for the bottom corners...

Just spitballin'...probably nothing you haven't already thought of...
Thanks for the responsse!
Yeah we thought of that, it would mean your would have to have some fender washers on there or something so the bolt wouldn't just pull through the mat. We were thinking of some sort of good quality double sided tape maybe 4 corners and s strip in the middle.

Fender washer would work and be most cost effective...or...machine a nice looking template in the bolt pattern to do same function. I think the double sided tape would also work well on the corners. Let me know when it's done...should look great! :)

yeah, it's tough, we can't recommend fender washers and screws because so many tailgates these days have cameras, locks, etc.. could maybe do holes that line up with factory bolt holes and supply longer hardware.

If you go that route, may I suggest countersink holes for the washers to sit in so all hardware is below mat surface. That way when dragging things out of bed nothing hangs up on bolt heads.

I wish we could, we don't mold these type of mats individually, so they are cut from a sheet. Unfortunately we cant really machine countersunk holes into it. Though that would be super cool!!
