Scratch help

I got my first scratch. Damn it. Freakin hard top grazed the door on the way up and left a little scratch. Any tips or tricks to get it out?? Don’t think it’s very deep. Just want it gone! Thanks!

Pictures might help. There is a difference in how you repair a chip vs. a scratch.

Depends on how deep it is. If it's just a surface scratch a little Meguiars scratch x 2.0 and elbow grease will get it off.

Thanks! Should I bring it to the dealer or try and do it myself? Is the touch up paint a spray? I just don’t want to mess it up even more since it’s so new. I’m sure the dealer will charge an arm and a leg, but I’m sure it’ll look right. Opinions? Thanks!

The Meguairs scratch removed isn't a touch up paint it's something that removed the scratch by buffing it out. Pretty easy to use. Just elbow grease and the product should get most surfaces scratches out.

I wouldn’t take it to the dealer unless they have a body shop. Is the scratch through the paint? We need pictures to give you proper advice. There are a couple of products which are used to smooth touch up paint, Lanka being one. It works pretty well for chips, but not as well as for scratches.

Thanks guys! Wish I took a pic before I left the house. It seems very shallow though. I run my finger over it and I don’t feel anything. No indent or anything. The color is sting gray. I tried a turtle wax scratch remover yesterday and I seemed to make it worse. I see a few swirl marks now after the turtle wax. UGH. I’m OCD so I wanna try and get it out. I think I’m going to try the Meguiars compound later today and after that it is what it is! It’s a Jeep! Going to have some battle wounds.
