Get some honest trail rash on the vehicle and the pain of the scratch will lessen.

Having owned a few Wranglers and now on my second Gladiator, the rush to fix scrape, scratches and dings has not been a high priority.

My wife has a busted front bumper. She doesn’t know what happened according to her. Someone must of hit it in the mall parking lot ? Same woman that ran into a fire hydrant in the snow.
My front bumper is messed up too, but 4wd, a tow strap and reverse pulled it out remarkably straight. There was a crack on the bottom of bumper cover, but some plastic weld fixed that right up. I can’t even tell. I kind of impressed myself with my repair. I had to replace the side marker light. It was only like $40 and the fender was loose, but I got it to pop back in.

I hadn’t thought of that actually. It’s just cracked so weld could probably fix it! Thanks!

anyone know if the black plastic trip around the well is removable. there are plastic rivots there but not sure if anyone had luck removing and reinstalling. i have the rivet tool, but it's weird as jeep only sells them attached. i'd want to remove it so it'll paint better.

might drop the fender off at a shop...got a quote for 200 which is a bit high, but a portable ding person came by and quoted 400. whic is insane. no rush to fix...doesn't affect anything.

tried the youtube fix. did everything as best i can (i'm fairly handy)...looked like crap at the end. might be harder on plastic than metal as i think it's easier to sand the paint/clearcoat to even "hills" on either side before filling. anyway...dropped the fender off at the body shop for 200. guy also said it's an easier DIY fix when metallic paint isn't involved.

got kind of nervous too when the video had you sanding the whole area (in my case the whole fender) with 3000 and 5000 grit sandpaper....but glad i tried it before handing it off.

just hoping i remember where all the screws/rivets/pastic push screws went when i put the liner and lights back in the fender. appreciate all the input tho ?
