Beer budget with a champagne taste guy. I found a used warn zeon 10s on a marketplace for $800. That’s roughly half retail and top end of my budget considering I also need to buy a winch plate and interrupt kit. Also a full day trip to meet seller involved. Seller says it was installed for four months. Picture of winch does not show any fading or outside wear. I don’t know owners story but he was also selling a slew of higher end parts such as a nice kc light bar and bumpers. Guessing he is unloading accessories to sell the Jeep. I did notice his top notch clean shop in the pictures for the items he is selling and the clean rubicon that some items were still installed on. Also noticed he started high and has been slowly reducing prices.

Anyway, could I test the winch by simply using jumper cables from my battery to the wires that the winch uses for install?

You can see if the motor runs, listen to it, listen for catching or uneven sounds, etc. but can't really tell much else without a load.

He must have traded or is going to trade or sell his Jeep or something.............
I was told to strip my 2020 back to factory level when I traded it for my 2022. They didn't want anything it didn't come with (other than the passive entry I added - they loved that)
