No matter which way you go you will never get the amount of money out of it you think you will get. I had to sell everything I owned to move out of my house into an apartment. Thousands of dollars worth of tools and such. Practically had to give it all away. People are looking for bargains. The cheaper the better. Granted in my case I had a deadline to meet so didn't have the time to hold on to stuff to get what I wanted for it. Even though I felt I was pretty fair with the prices people just don't want to spend a lot of money on used stuff. If I were you just sell it as is.

How much time you got??? Parting out a rig is a lot of work. It’s extremely time consuming and you’re always left with parts you can’t sell or nobody wants.
You have to take parts off, advertise, and meet with folks (or run to post office) to ship stuff. You could have a rig sitting in your garage (or driveway) for a year or longer depending on supply & demand.

I parted out a 92 YJ that was totalled. This did not include the axles (Dana 44’s swapped over to another YJ). The motor, transmission, & t-case are the first to go. Everything else….not so much. I ended up giving shit away. Someone came and picked up the ā€˜tub’ (he was building a buggy).

If you’re willing to put that much time & effort into it…. Part it out.
Otherwise, I’d sell it as a complete package!!
