So I went on Tuesday and had the DEF flash done.. no big deal. What I forgot was that an ECM flash erases all of the emissions monitors that are required to be set to pass smog. The reason for the smog is I’ve sold the truck and it has to be done before the title transfer.
So after reading for hours and driving the damn thing almost 600 miles, I’m one monitor short of passing smog. The monitors I have left are:
1. Fuel System
2. PM filter
3. NHMC catalyst

I’ve read till my eyes are bleeding and have found a couple of generic drive cycles, but there is nothing that is SPECIFIC to the Gen 3 Ecodiesel. I’m up for any suggestions, links, ideas, voodoo, or whatever to get the one monitor set.
I have been checking the progress/readiness with the Banks IDash I have. It lists every monitor for the 3.0.
Thanks

Oddly enough my gladiator had less than 300 miles on it when I smogged it, and I had no issues whatsoever. I picked it up in Vegas and drove it 200 miles to SoCal. Then drove it for 2 more days for maybe 50 miles combined then smogged it on day 4. I’m pretty sure I didn’t check all the boxes but it still passed

I would try to reset the system and start the drive cycle over.

An update:
After hours of research and over 500 miles of driving and completing every Jeep/Chrysler/ Ram drive cycle that I could find, I finally got all but two monitors to reset, which is all I needed to pass the smog test. I read that the final two could take anywhere from 1000-3000 to reset. The Banks IDash was all but a must have to monitor the progress.
So the gladiator is gone to its new owner and I’m in search of a new truck. I’ve ordered a 392 but may go with a new Raptor instead.
Thanks all.
