So I’m in a pickle. Im being told up to 6 weeks for the Dynomax QC exhaust. Magnaflow crawler I could have here in two weeks. Both are about $650 and $710. Looking to see what you guys did, specifically the big muffler delete. I dont want loud so I'm thinking maybe, just maybe cutting the big guy out and putting in something small like a super turbo or chambered 40 or 44. Post away! Videos would be awesome too

Ordered a Dynomax Super Turbo 17749. Its 25.5” total length and Im going to replace the 23” stock muffler with that. Also ordered AFE 20” delete 2.5” pipe for the front 18” resonator if the Super Turbo isnt enough rumble for me. Rear tailpipe is staying on. Stayed tuned.

Installed. 100% not enough rumble lol. Almost identical to stock. Next up delete pipe front resonator when it arrives. Not even worth posting a video.

I bought a muffler and an extension pipe from Amazon and then used the stock pipe. At cruise it is slightly louder but noticeable on acceleration. I don't find it too loud. I welded it myself so I think I was maybe $50 in materials.

Ordered a $56 Thrush welded. Two chamber. We will see how it sounds with both factory resonators still in place. Looking for deep rumble but no drone or rasp. Fingers crossed

I was unable to post the audio files before but I ordered the Thrush 24214 and as you can see from the pictures above removed the resonators. The first file is after all was complete. It is in the garage with the driver's door open.

Also, just because I finally figured out how to upload the audio I attached the other ones. The first is the exhaust removed. The second is accelerating to 45 mph with no exhaust. The third is no exhaust but cruising at 65 mph. Also, in these I do not have any headliner or other sound deadening.

Wont work on my end.

I added the Thrush welded muffler. Added a slight growl on acceleration with no drone. Cold start sounds nearly stock. Just a slight deeper. Might add the thrush rattler in place of the stock front resonator/muffler. If thats too loud for my liking I will add a dynomax bullet or round muffler back in place. If all else fails, then maybe the Dynomax crawler will be ordered. I like playing around with the sound of this motor, with the right muffler it can sound pretty good.

So Thrush welded with both resonators still in place. Nice low rumble at idle but opens up just enough for me at higher rpms. I tow so I cant have loud n proud or drone. This works for me.
