You could get the key code off of your key, (there are only so many, my "key" will work in some car in New Jersey for example) and go to a locksmith and get one made. Why is this so hard? Why should, no check that, why WOULD an aftermarket company even step into that legal quagmire??
I’ve seen padlocks, bike locks, hitch pin locks that can do it. Just never seen a barrel lock. ?‍♂Thus why this may not be an option for a company like JCR which isn’t in the lock-making business. (Again, not their fault.)

Also not trying to pick a fight or derail this thread, but you brought up legality and I can’t see what that has to do with anything.

I don't really know either or care, I was trying to help you....maybe I'm just a knuckle dragger that doesn't get all the "I want (insert your favorite want here ____" ) mentality ie. "padlocks, bike locks, hitch pin locks" are not $50K vehicle keys.

Finally got a chance to install the panel. Love the flange nuts, no need for a box wrench, just the allen. So easy to install. My only issue was getting through the bed liner in the bed bolt holes. I didn't have the right tap, but will get one before I do the sides. Great panel, got my hi-lift sorted finally, just need to figure out how to mount the pull-pal. My wife and I like to hit some trails solo sometimes, so feel better having it. It's about 40lbs + 30lbs for the hi-lift so 70lbs all said, and I have no doubt this panel will handle it.

BTW, how do you like your Pull Pal? They scare the crap out of me, but I’ve never used one. I just have visions of a boat anchor coming through the windshield. But truth be told, I could see the benefit here in Texas where there’s not always a sturdy tree to anchor to.

To be honest, I just bought it. I wheeled an XJ pretty hard for many years and never even had a winch, just a Hi-lift and straps and pretty much always wheeled with other people. That crew kept going and eventually some went the full send, even running King of the Hammers. I got out and saved a ton of money. (Or did I??) Anyway, I just have different plans this time around and might find it useful someday. I don't mean to be harsh, just seemed like I read your "whine" more than once and decided to move on. The pull-pal is not going to fly anywhere. Your winch is going to wind fairly slowly and the pull-pal is going to (hopefully) dig itself into the ground. You are exactly right about the boat anchor, because that is exactly the same principle, and if you look at some boat anchors, it's the same thing.

I have the back seat cab panels on order. Not sure if I will use them to mount fire extinguishers or licorice though.
Licorice on one side, extinguisher on the other.

Long term for me, the JCR rear seat storage solution looks like the best balance of functionality and price that I’ve seen. If only there were a way to to use our Jeep key on the lock...
Haven't seen that opinion on barrel locks, just padlocks and such like you mentioned. You may be able to make a padlock work somehow, just not as clean.

I met Mitchell from JCR in person this weekend by chance....great guy!
Did he pay you to say that? JK he's a good dude.

If you didn't get any in your package PM us your address.

Hey Alans17, I realized I totally misunderstood what you were asking for. I thought you wanted a lock keyed for your Jeep key, but I think what you want is the same lock mechanism that is used on the doors, and the rear seat. I don't see why this couldn't be done. You would need to get it keyed at a locksmith like I mentioned earlier, but these should be available.
