Soft Top and Tonneau Vibration

Hi there. Just got my Gladiator yesterday. I took it for a ride today and I experienced at high speeds (70-80mph) a noisy vibration in the soft top and tonneau. What annoyed me was the rattling in the soft top, the tonneau did not make a annoying noice, however I noticed It was lifting from the middle, I am worry It may bend or have problems later on.

Anyone experiencing the same problem? Have heard of a solution?

so the front half is the sunrider and back half hard top correct? you should have the two front freedon panels then, they came with the rear hardtop.

The Sunrider can vibrate, nothing really holding it down (those velcro straps that came with it may help). At higher speeds the sunrider will do this since it's essentially a folded cloth.

You purchased the premium sunrider soft top correct? Its not a hard top with the Bestop sunrider? I would make sure everything is buckled down and pulled as tightly as possible. It could be a defect in the top I suppose? It is a SOFT top so it will make a little noise when driving at high speeds like that although I don't think you should hear anything rattling. Your tonneau cover should be fine as long as it is installed properly. It should not bend or break from catching air from underneath while you are driving normally or at higher speeds. Just make sure both are installed correct and it if continues to get worse bring it back to dealer. Every soft top I have owned has made noises at higher speeds. The newer tops are much quieter than before and I know the JL soft top is super quiet. I ordered the premium soft top as well so I hope this isn't a problem with all of them. I hope you get this resolved and keep us posted please.

I have both, and the top is actually quieter than my JL hardtop. Just reached 1000 Miles and am getting the speeds up now. Have been to 85 and quiet as a church mouse, no rattling or flapping. Bed cover is also very tight with only a little flutter and definitely no lifting.

I have read several complaints about the soft top and road noise......It is also a complaint in many review videos I have watched, but I have to say that I do not notice any noise with my premium sunrider soft top. It is a very smooth and quiet ride!

Update. The dealership exchange the soft top and roll up tonneau on my second visit reporting the same problem.

At first, they were giving me the speech ''Oh the Jeeps are noisy, this is just the way the are'', maan I worked for a Five Star Chrysler Dealership as Service Advisor in Mexico for 2 Years, owned 2 Wranglers TJs, and plus, I'm a Mechanical Engineer, I can tell when a vibration or rattling is not normal. I did not say that but It was on my mind at the time haha, I just insisted this was not normal.

But well back to the issue. Rattling problem at soft top fixed! Running 80mph without a problem. However the roll up tonneau still flapping around at no even 50 mph, this vibration/flapping occurred at the middle center part. I just checked and now Jeep is offering 3 options for bed cover, may update in the future.
