I use a velcro loop on each side although I recall a factory tie down in my jeep
Yes that’s helpful but I still need to stop and put it up before entering underground parking or my garage.
If would only go BACK behind the roll bar like the JL/JLU.

I've only had the hard top and premium soft top, and the soft top isn't much louder in my experience. I don't even use the hard top now that I don't have to worry about a bunch of Midwest snow sitting on it.

I have all three (sort of). My wife’s JLU Rubicon has a painted hard top. Loud like sitting under a drum. A Sunrider actually made it quieter.
Got my son a Standard soft top. I have the Premium and the difference is enough to where I’m ordering the Premium for him as well. I love mine but it sure is annoying how the top doesn’t fold DOWN. Extreme caution must be taken when driving around with the stupid Man Bun sticking up waiting to be caught on anything over head.
I can’t figurer, for the life of me, why they didn’t make it fold down like a JL/JLU. I would happily pay if anyone came up with a Wrangler style rear bracket.
I once thought the same thing. Why can't it fold all the way down.? Well If you have a canopy or tonneau cover you'll be screwed. Might as well have the hardtop. The positive side is you can remove the soft top easily , only 4 bolts and your topless with no man bun. Then stick the soft top in your bed for temporary storage. ??

My 2020 max tow Sport S had the premium soft top. In the wind, especially cross-winds, at interstate speeds (up to 80 in Utah, for example) the front section flapped and vibrated so hard, and so loudly, that it was far beyond annoying. I went to the hard top, night and day difference.

Alright here is my terrible idea: I don’t own a JL, just the JT so I don’t know how the bolt spots compare. But could a JL (4door) soft top bolt onto a Gladiator? Obviously you wouldnt bolt on the back section as that doesn’t line up with the JT roll bar (I’d probably chop that off and use straps or something to hold it down like the old bikini tops). But would the front half fit/work? I ask because used JL tops are a lot cheaper than gladiator tops.

I'm all about my Premium Twill top, it has only been annoying going ~80 and passing a semi with a cross wind. It thumps loud enough to spook me.

regarding your situation, if you're OK with the appearance of the sail cloth, you might try this:

I went standard over the premium since cleaning mud off vinyl is easier then fabric

I know. I thought the exact same thing. My son got the JL soft top. I got the Premium on the JT. With wet Utah mud, the Premium comes clean in seconds at the car wash. My son’s standard stained permanently. We tried all sorts of different top cleaners. I’m giving up and putting on a Bestop Premium on his JL Monday.
I have no idea why the Premium isn’t affected by the mud around here.
