I hate asking simple questions, but I have one for you guys with the soft top. Do you roll the rear window up and hang on the straps? If so, how do you do it without breaking the plastic channel rails?

I just got my soft top on and that window is a MF to roll up. Feel like I’m going to snap the plastic channel rails. I used to do it all the time on the JK, but the Gladiator has the rails on the window instead of zippers.

Thanks for any help and sorry for posting another trivial thread. I searched around if that helps.

I rolled mine up a couple times before I got my tonneau cover. Not real tightly, just enough to put in the rear under seat storage. Now I have some cargo carriers in the bed and I can just fold in half and put it and the shoulder pieces in there. However, I’m unclear on what you mean by “hang on the straps”.

Don’t roll it. If it creases you will never get that crease out.

The straps that hang above the window using a snap.

Those straps were in my glovebox when I bought mine. Never had any idea what they were for!

I slide it out. I honestly didn't know rolling it was even an option.

Straps create a fairly large diameter and they are also elastic. Think this helps prevent rolling too tight.

get a cheap table leaf bag off amazon to put it in and you can store on seat or in bed, garage etc.

Sounds like I need to roll it up loose. If that doesn’t tickle my fancy I’ll get a cheap bag to carry it in. Thanks everyone.

When I said not to roll it I envisioned rolling from left to right. I was wrong on my assumption. I would roll it up/down. I do that on the JL.

No luck rolling the damn window up. Ordered a bag on Amazon for $15 and will store it in the bed under the tonneau. Thanks all!
