I can not figure out WHY the speakers in the sound bar sound like crap??? I replaced the factory 4" with Kicker 4" and it sounds terrible? Hardly any highs and bass distortion even with the bass control turned down? I tried bass blockers and still sounds bad. Did Jeep crossover the factory woofers and that's why the treble is gone? It should not be this difficult with a basic speaker swap. HELP!!!

Wish I could help, but mine is bone stock in my JTR with 7" screen and radio. Sounds decent to me. You must be looking for more watts and more clarity with the bass, midrange and treble. Maybe the JT just isn't a good candidate for what you seek. Maybe a shop that specializes in auto acoustics can be of help. Don't know if they charge for consulting.

I kept the stock head unit and only wanted clearer sound with the 2 ways in the sound bar. I disconnected the factory tweeter since the 4" has a tweeter and expected to get crisper high end sound. I'm wondering if the woofer has an internal crossover making the new 2 way sound bad?
