Hi all, I've been looking at the Spiderweb mesh top and wondering what folks here think about them. I'm hoping to find something that will provide at least a little protection from an unexpected shower, does it have any degree of water resistance or is rain just going to go right through? And with the thinner material, are there any wind noise concerns?

I have 2. One on my wife’s JL and my JT. Had 3 other ones on previous Jeep’s. Many people don’t like it because it sags in the middle where there is an opening for the freedom top.

i doubt it will help at all with rain, but never got caught in a shower with the roof open. no concerns with wind.

Get the full length shade for front and back row. See pic for another option to stay drier.

Rain will shed off in motion, when stopped you will have some dripping from shade... heavy rain will have more but if your doors are off you will have more water intrusion anyway.

Just remember the Jeep JT is designed to handle the water inside. Unless you put amps etc under seats, you will be ok. Pull carpet and drain plugs,?top down Sade peeled back will let the seats dry out.

I sent back the one I ordered for my JT after installing the one I ordered for my YJ. It's not very good.

JTops makes a much nicer top, it's not PERFECT but it is really well built from good materials.

It's a mesh shade, regardless, and full of holes. It's not for weather protection, it's for sun protection.
